Jordan’s love for animals began early on in her life.  She was not only the local dog walker but had an agility course built right in her backyard where she would spend hours training dogs of all sizes!  It wasn’t uncommon for the neighbours to see Jordan walking a Yellow Labrador, a Black Labrador, an American Foxhound, a Golden Retriever, a brindle Boxer, a miniature Sheltie, a Yorkshire Terrier, a Cockapoo, and a miniature Schnauzer, all at the same time. She would gather up the gang and run her dog clients through their daily training and agility work.  Once Jordan started training programs with her dog Scooter, a sweet little Papillion, it became clear she would never be without a loyal companion.  In working with Scooter and fostering their bond, she learned a lot about animal behaviour and how much she loved the training.  It was clear even back then that dogs would always be a huge part of Jordan’s life.

Jordan considers it is a privilege to coach clients on how to better understand and train their dogs. Jordan provides effective, professional, and humane training while she works through challenging behaviour problems such as jumping, chewing, barking, just to name a few. Jordan understands the importance of developing a special connection with her many clients- human and animal!  Let’s be honest, during the training process everyone is learning! Training makes your life easier and offers your loyal companion confidence through consistency. It’s no secret that both owner and dog are more confident once they both understand what is required of them. Jordan demonstrates the knowledge and understanding required to teach your dog how to behave and live within the rules and structure of normal family life. To foster the bond between humans and their loyal companions is Jordan’s life’s passion.

In addition to her role as owner and head-trainer at My Loyal Companion, Jordan has supported the community working as a Registered Nurse since 2015. Jordan volunteers at multiple Animal Rescues across North America and is always on the lookout for forever homes for animals in need. Her life’s calling is one of service, and as such, she spends her days and nights either caring for humans, animals, or both.  Jordan currently shares her home with her partner Zach, Benzo, a Bernedoodle, Pip, a Chihuahua/Min Pin mix, Kowa, a Sheltie/Collie mix, and 2 cats; Darcy Tucker and Fig Newton.
